Newcastle United agree deal to sign Danny Rose on loan from Tottenham

Newcastle United have agreed a loan deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Danny Rose until the end of the season.

Rose will cost an initial £2million loan fee from Spurs but as it stands there is no deal agreed for a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.

Toon boss Steve Bruce admitted that he was keen on Rose last Friday, and after persuading United chiefs he will help his side achieve their aims this term the club were happy to sign the 29-year-old.

It means that United may have to take injured Paul Dummett out of the squad, but talks are ongoing to move Ki on this week, and Christian Atsu has been offered to clubs in the last couple of days.

Bruce said last week: “He’s a quality player and a class act the kid.”
