Newcastle United advertising 'dream job' for any fan as Amanda Staveley delivers another promise

Newcastle United owners have delivered their pledge to improve fan engagement by introducing a brand new role at St James' Park.

Both director Amanda Staveley and CEO Darren Eales have spoken about the need to take things up a notch when it comes to supporter relations at United. The club are now seeking an individual to help bring some of Newcastle's ambitious plans to life.

When the 2023/24 season commences United will have a Fan Engagement Co-ordinator in place. The role - advertised as a "Fan Engagement and Events Co-ordinator" comes off the back a series of successful events both abroad and in the UK.

Newcastle held an international fan event in Riyadh during the club's winter tour and met up with Stateside fans back in May when Nobby Solano, in the role of ambassador, was jetted out alongside Eales to meet up with fans to watch the Leeds game.

United said in their job advert: "This is an exciting time at Newcastle United and we are looking for talented individuals to help us on our journey. To help us deliver on our ambitious plans we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fan Engagement and Events Coordinator to support our Supporter Services Department

"As our Fan Engagement and Events Coordinator, you will be developing and delivering an annual events plan for Newcastle United to increase engagement with fans at home and internationally. You will manage a calendar of successful online and online supporter initiatives that achieve agreed commercial revenue and engagement targets, working with a high degree of independence."

For many supporters, the new role would be a dream job but for Ripin financier Staveley it is merely delivering a promise she made on day one at the football club to strive to improve fan engagement. Eales said earlier this year: "We are committed to collaborative and constructive engagement with supporters on a consistent basis, ensuring all fans have an opportunity to inform the club’s decision-making at all levels."
