Newcastle United are about to make big changes to their Academy after an internal shake-up at Little Benton.
Ben Dawson will step up to a more technical role while is set to take on the job as Under-23 boss.
At Under-18 level Neil Winskill is set to become the new youth team coach as the Magpies take a closer look at developing local talent.
Winskill was on United's books as a youngster between 1993 and 1996 before playing at local level for Newcastle Blue Star and Whickham.
After leaving United as a kid, Winskill stated he was "heart broken and lost" in an interview with the NUFC Foundation - but he has since built up a career on the coaching circuit.
He retired from playing he went straight into coaching with Ashington and West Allotment Celtic.
However, his career with the Academy has been almost 20 years in the making.
Winskill coached the United Under-10s and then the Under-13s between 1998 and 2006.
He has been coach of the Under-15s since 2012 and has watched the likes of Sean Longstaff, Matty Longstaff and Cal Roberts come through the system at Newcastle.
Winskill also worked with the club's Foundation scheme for a number of years.
During that time Winskill worked closely with Dawson and Newcastle want to give the duo an opportunity to help improve the Academy as part of the new approach next season.
Dawson and Winskill have had some interesting adventures during that time and chewed the fat with some of the game's recognisable figures.
They shared coaching hints and tips with both Rafa Benitez and Alan Pardew and met managers like ex-Ajax boss Frank De Boer.
Now the duo will look to put all of their coaching knowledge together to help improve the Academy.
