Newcastle United - A Year Without Fans

The last time Newcastle United fans were allowed into St James' Park was back in February 2020 - a nil-nil draw with Burnley.

Since then, due to lockdown restrictions, fans have had to follow their team on television or radio - and there's still no concrete plan for when they'll be able to take their seat in the ground again.

In the latest documentary brought to you by The Everything is Black and White Podcast - we take a look at how a year without supporters has impacted people, charities and businesses of Newcastle.

From the fans who are missing their match-day routine, the charities who rely on match-day collections to the pubs and hotels whose revenue has been hit during COVID-19.

There's also the insight - thanks to PA photographer Owen Humphrey's and BBC Radio Newcastle's Matthew Raisbeck - about how things have changed covering Newcastle on a match-day.

The 30-minute episode is an emotional journey from that last game in February 2020 to the present day - and how we've all struggled and been forced to adapt.
