If you like your wine and are always up for doing something a little different with your social life there is something happening in Newcastle that should be a real thirst quencher.
As well as hosting regular tours of the famous Tyneside underground landmark, the Ouseburn Trust have staged a number of themed events over the past few years included terrifying Halloween trails and Santa specials.
And they are thinking outside of the box, or should that be the bottle, for their latest event.
On Friday, August 30, the Victoria Tunnel is linking up with nearby Hotel du Vin for Tipples in the Tunnel.
Ticket holders will begin the evening at 6pm at the hotel bar and lounge with a glass of arrival bubbles, followed by a mini Tunnel tour, learning about its history and hearing some great stories, before starting the wine tasting within the Tunnel.
Then Hotel du Vin's sommelier will introduce and talk about three wines from around the world. There will also be a blind tasting - can you guess your wine?
Tickets for the night are priced £25 and can be bought online from Ouseburn Trust website.
