With Newcastle music fans set to fill their boots at the city's newest festival Tipping Point Live, a new addition to the line-up is set to appeal to younger ears too.
The festival - previously called Evolution Emerging - will play out in the Ouseburn Valley on June 21-22 with more than 30 acts including The Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones and local indie rockers FEVA.
Hosted at various venues, including The Cluny ; Tyne Bar, The Cumberland Arms and Cobalt Studios, the revamped festival - which is co-curated by Maximo Park’s Paul Smith; The Futureheads' Barry Hyde and Mercury Prize-nominated Nadine Shaw - will showcase a mix of names also including local talents Brooke Bentham; Vandebilt; NE Dons and Martha Hill.
And now organisers are adding a Saturday programme of activities to ensure that children can share in the musical atmosphere.

In partnership with local family-focused organisation Chalk and Seven Stories, the national centre for children’s books, it is inviting children to make, create, dance to and listen to music.
And it says they can also "make their own instruments, throw some shapes at a surprise DJ set or immerse themselves in an interactive gig".
