Newcastle's newest cafe The Geordie Stottie is open for business

We now from the reaction to our stories on it that plenty of you were excited about it launching, well now Newcastle's newest cafe The Geordie Stottie is officially open for business.

It was in the spring that plans were first revealed about the new sit in and takeaway cafe opening on Blandford Street in the city centre to great excitement and now you can get a bite of the action.

Located not far from both Lane 7 and the Discovery Museum, The Geordie Stottie is serving up a bevvy of Geordie goodness, with breakfasts to help you start the day off in style, £2.95 giant Yorkshire Pudding Wraps so you can enjoy a taste of Sunday dinner any day of the week and of course plenty of stotties.

Co-owner Paul Rowe told Chronicle Live "The premises is primarily a take away but we have seating for people who want to drop in for a bite to eat.

"We are serving food on Bar Basement next door. Sunday lunch will be served and we are also offering a takeaway service."

Other Geordie inspired highlights of the cafe's menu include Saveloy Dips for £1.95, Broon Ale Banger sandwich for £1.95 and Roast Beef Stottie for £2.95.

Monday - Friday: 7.30am - 4pm Saturday: 9am - 3pm Sunday: 11am - 4pm
