Newcastle United's new striker Joelinton reveals his favourite places to eat in town

He's only been in the city a matter of weeks but Newcastle's new number 9 Joelinton already has a few favourite places to eat in the city.

The Brazilian striker, who the Magpies signed from Hoffenheim for a club record fee of £40 million in July, made his Premier League debut against Arsenal at the weekend.

Joelinton didn't find the net as NUFC lost 1-0 to the Gunners but, having impressed in pre-season, fans are expecting great things from the 22 year old.

And it sounds like he's a big fan of his new surroundings, already finding some regular places to dine out.

Speaking in the match day programme for the Arsenal game about waiting for his girlfriend and two year old son to join him on Tyneside, Joelinton said "I really miss them. It's good to come on your own at first in order to find an apartment and focus on the club and get to know your teammates.

"Once I'm more settled in the city, them being here will help a lot.

"I've got an apartment in the city centre. Since I arrived I'm always going out to eat, mostly in the city centre, although there are still many places to discover.

"I've been to the Aveika restaurant, Babucho, Piccolino and St James' Park of course."
