An explosion in coronavirus cases has turned part of Newcastle's East End into the most infected area in the North East.
There were 44 new Covid-19 cases in Shieldfield and Heaton Park last week.
That's more than anywhere north of Leeds - almost 100 miles away.
Across the city, cases rocketed 180% in just a week, meaning the city now has the fifth highest infection rate in the country.
And official data shows infections are creeping up.
Areas of Newcastle, which were largely unscathed until recently, are now seeing infections surge.
But the infection rate remains low in a couple of districts.
In Newcastle's West End, there were 33 new cases in Elswick - an area which has suffered a major spike in cases over the past week or so.
After that, many of the main hotspots are clustered in and around the city centre.
There were over 20 cases last week in the likes of Kenton, Byker and both North and South Jesmond.
