Newcastle's Geordie Stottie cafe starts serving Mars, Lion and Toffee Crisp wraps

If you've got a sweet tooth and looking for a new dessert to tuck into, a tasty treat has arrived in Newcastle which just might help your take your mind off the rubbish weather we're having at the moment.

Prior to its opening earlier this summer, there was great excitement about the arrival of to the city centre, with promises of home-cooked Geordie grub like saveloy dips, ham and pease pudding stotties and hot meat sandwiches.

One of the most popular dishes on The Geordie Stottie's menu since it opened its doors on Blandford Street at the end of June has proved to be the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap.

But it's not just Yorkshire puds that are in Geordie Stottie wraps. At the weekend the cafe took to Facebook to reveal the latest addition to its menu - chocolate bar pancake wraps.

Yes, classic chocolate bars Mars, Lion and Toffee Crisp are being served up in wraps made out of pancake and they sound delicious!

Priced at £2.50, there is also the option to go healthier with strawberries and cream, but we're going straight for the chocolate!

Geordie Stottie co-owner Paul Rowe told Chronicle Live "Due to the massive popularity of our meat Yorkshire pudding wraps one day our chef used some of the mix to make himself a pancake.

"He was stuck for a filling and is a massive Lion bar fan so he put his favourite chocolate bar in and the result was a Lion bar wrap and they are unreal!"
