With the very cold temperatures forecast for this weekend, it might well feel like winter is coming to Newcastle but you can warm up with a Game of Thrones inspired dish that has just gone on sale in the city.
If you're just about recovered from the ridiculously dramatic third episode of season 8, you might want to head to city centre restaurant Fat Hippo as they have put a Game of Cones on the menu.
The very interesting dish will be served up for three weeks only and contains nuggets of chicken (or halloumi) tossed in sweet chilli, piled into a waffle cone drizzled with gooey American cheese and garlic & herb mayo, sprinkled with smoked bacon bits (or herbs) on top and served with skinny fries.
Fat Hippo has just been voted Best Casual Dining Venue at the Newcastle Loves awards results revealed: All the winners and runners up from inaugural event and are sure to get plenty of more admirers for their Game of Cones if the response on Facebook is anything to go by.
Someone joked "might have to give this whole 'vegan' thing a break," while another very excited diner commented "Going to have me a couple of these!" and someone else simply reacted "HOLY S***!"
The Game of Cones will be on the menu at Fat Hippo (dine-in only) until May 20 and is priced £12.99.
