There wasn't a single Geordie in the original lineup for the new series of Love Island but that's all changed now with the news that Rebecca Gormley is going into the villa.
appeared right at the end of Sunday night's show, with her issuing a threat to the other girls in the villa , saying "I'm going into the villa to find a man and there's not going to be any holding me back.
"Watch out girls, I'm coming for your boys."
It definitely sounds like the 21-year-old is going to spice things up in her new South African surroundings and there are plenty of people back at home who are looking forward to seeing her in action.

One reader reacted to the news by writing "there she is and she’s going to stir things right up. You can’t keep a Geordie lass down," and, agreeing with us that the show definitely needed someone from this neck of the woods in, another reader commented "we said they needed a Geordie."
Of course, there will always be people who will have a go at Love Island and the people who go on it, but defending Rebecca, someone posted "I don’t watch it but I hope Becky does well she is a lovely girl ," another one of her friends wrote "Great news lovely lady. Good luck," and a third responded "Don’t judge until you’ve actually met the lass, she is very down to earth and friendly."
Rebecca isn't the first Geordie to go into Love Island and one reader hopes that she shows the city in a good light, reacting "All for a Geordie girl being in there but please god.... respect yourself, your town, your family....respect, loyalty and manners all the way... also have fun and smile."
