There was upset when they were missing from the event last year but dance and cabaret will return to Newcastle Pride in a big way this year with the launch of a new zone.
Newcastle Pride , or Northern Pride to give the festival its official name, will take over both the Town Moor and Exhibition Park this weekend.
There will be a number of and the features Fleur East and Liberty X.
The Newcastle Pride Saturday lineup also features Saara Aalto and the Newcastle Pride Sunday lineup featuring Boulevard.
And the Be Scene Zone will be open and packed full of performances across both days, thanks to a huge fundraising campaign to get dance and cabaret back at Pride, which culminated in a big variety show at Boulevard in May.
