The away dressing room was unsurprisingly 'buzzing' following Newcastle United's 2-1 win against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Newcastle players had a 'weird feeling' after the 2-2 draw against Spurs a week previously; they were heartened by the performance but believed they could have won the game.
This time around, at least, the squad were able to celebrate a rare victory. It was Newcastle's first win since February 6 and just the Magpies' third victory in nearly four months.
Having been in a delicate situation a week previously - Newcastle were in the relegation zone for 17 minutes at one point - Steve Bruce's side moved six points clear of the bottom three with a game in hand.
It may have been an uninspiring opening 55 minutes, but the Magpies did eventually seize the initiative after 18th-placed Fulham's painful last-minute defeat against Wolves two days previously.

Saint-Maximin's remarkable cameo at Turf Moor may have taken Newcastle three points closer to that magical points total but, even if the Magpies do stay up, this season will not be a success.
There was much talk last summer of the black-and-whites challenging for a place in the top 10 and although injuries and illness have played their part, those awful defeats against Brentford, Sheffield United and Brighton will live long in the memory for all the wrong reasons.

It helps, too, when you have a game changer like Saint-Maximin available and Bruce's decision to 'box clever' with the Frenchman and Callum Wilson paid off.
Bruce could have started Saint-Maximin and Wilson against Burnley but just as the pair might have fired Newcastle in front early on, would the former have been able to make as devastating an impact late on as he inevitably tired after an hour?
Sean Dyche acknowledged that Bruce had 'affected it from the bench with good players who cost them a lot of money' and those sides down at the bottom with Newcastle simply do not have two forwards of such quality.

Following his introduction alongside Wilson, Saint-Maximin teed up Jacob Murphy's equaliser just two minutes later before going it alone, himself, and scoring a wonderful individual goal in the 64th minute.
