Newcastle offer trial to French youngster whose spectacular goal caught Allan Saint-Maximin's eye

Newcastle United have been taking a look at French youngster Florent Indalecio.

The number 10 has featured in some of United Under-23 fixtures in pre-season and scored a spectacular overhead kick in training recently, which Allan Saint-Maximin has now posted on his Instagram account.

But it remains to be seen whether he extends his stay on Tyneside.

The former St Etienne player - 23 - was dismissed by the Ligue 1 club for bad behaviour but is trying to feel his way back into European football again after a stint in Australia with Fraser Park FC.

Indalecio admitted to French media earlier this year: "I had bad behaviour, I was a rowdy and cheeky student. I was fired from the centre two weeks before the end of the course.

"The coaches did not want to keep me, football was not enough. I was too young, and at that time I didn’t realise it."
