Newcastle nightclub manager and model Jazmine Nichol confirmed for Love Island's Casa Amor

It's taken a month but there is finally a Geordie on this year's Love Island, with Newcastle nightclub manager Jazmine Nichol confirmed to be going into the show as part of the Casa Amor twist.

Geordies have caused a real stir on the ITV programme over the years, with Amber Gill winning three years ago and Lillie Haynes causing no end of drama last year, when she was one of the bombshells who joined the boys in Casa Amor, before getting very close to Liam and spilling the beans to everyone when he didn't choose to recouple with her.

Love Island fans saw the girls leave the main villa to go into Casa Amor on Friday's show, and, while viewers got a proper introduction to the lads joining them in there, the identities of the girls stayed under wraps. However, all was revealed on Saturday night, with Jazmine, 21, announced as one of the six new girls going into the villa.

Jazmine who has worked at Newcastle city centre haunt Chinawhite, as well as modelling for brands like Pink Boutique and, when asked what she'd bring to the show, said: "A lot of drama but a lot of humour as well. I’m a very funny girl. I get called Donkey from Shrek, that’s my nickname, as that’s my humour. Always coming out with my little one liners."

And then, on the subject of the lads she's got her eye on, Jazmine said: "Jacques for personality - humours the biggest thing for me in a partner. I never go for looks and I don’t have a type at all. It’s definitely who makes me laugh. So Jacques, Jay and then Davide."
