Newcastle make deadline day offer to Nottingham Forest - reports

Nottingham Forest are being linked with a loan move for Newcastle United forward Christian Atsu.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the Premier League side have offered the 28-year-old to the Reds, in an effort to see him go on loan to the City Ground.

West Bromwich Albion have been reportedly interested in the signing of Atsu on loan, with the Baggies also credited with an interest in Hull winger Kamil Grosicki – a player also linked with Forest.

Sabri Lamouchi has been busy in the transfer market in recent days, adding three new players to his squad for the second half of the season.

Adama Diakhaby was the first to arrive on a loan from Huddersfield Town, and he was joined by striker Nuno da Costa on a permanent deal from French club Strasbourg.

On Thursday night, the Reds made their third signing of the window by adding defender Gaetan Bong to their ranks from Brighton, who has also signed a permanent deal at the City Ground.

Forest have also opted to recall Tyler Walker from his loan spell at Lincoln City, with the striker bagging 16 goals for the Imps this season.
