The deadline for nominations for the first ever Newcastle Loves awards is just a few days away now, but there is still time to make your opinion count.
Newcastle Loves is a campaign that aims to champion everything that's good and great about the city and, with that in mind, we have come up with a number of categories, covering a diverse range of venues and events.
We've got a list of 10 which we want you to nominate suggestions for top places to go, and the outstanding experiences you can have in and around Newcastle city centre.
The ten categories are:
- Best restaurant
- Best bar
- Best cocktail bar
- Best casual dining venue
- Best live music venue
- Best late night venue
- Best club night
- Best pub
- Best date-night venue
- Best experience
For this article the focus is on live music venues. As a city, Newcastle is blessed with a wide variety of cracking music venues. Whether you're a pop fan, love to rock out, are partial to getting soulful or like to indulge in some classical music, you're spoilt for choice on the banks of the Tyne.
But we want to know which is your favourite. You've got until Sunday, March 24 to get your nomination in for Best Live Music and all of the categories.
