Newcastle Ladies Day prosecco prices - and how much will wine and beer cost?

With Newcastle in for heavy rain this Ladies Day, race-goers no doubt will be looking to add some extra fizz to the occasion.

The forecast for Gosforth Park this Saturday - and in fact the whole of the North East - sees a yellow weather warning in place which means the thousands of people set to attend Ladies Day should expect some heavy rainfall.

But with tickets bought, outfits planned and excitement gathering, race-goers - of the Newcastle sort anyway - won't be letting that spoil the mood of what is a racing highlight - as well as a social highlight - of the year.

And bar and food outlets at Newcastle Racecourse will be well stocked to ensure the occasion goes with a flow.

The inside bars probably will be extra busy when the rain starts and will be serving a range of drinks.

Prosecco is always a hugely popular choice - a glass of fizz just seems to go with a dressy-up occasion - and race-goers will be keen to know how much they can expect to pay.

As a guide to what to expect, here are the costs of three drinks which tend to be the most popular choices.

Ladies Day bar prices

Bottle of prosecco - from £32

Bottle of wine -  from £22

Pint of beer - from £4.90

Besides the racing entertainment on the day, there will be music - an Ibiza Takeover of live DJ sets all day - that will help capture the height summer even in the rain.
