Newcastle have a 'ridiculous' talent who has got 'everything' as Eddie Howe waits to unleash him

Elliot Anderson is a 'ridiculous' talent who has got 'everything' to make it at Newcastle United after a breakthrough year in 2021.

That is the view of fellow academy graduate Dan Langley who, like Anderson, has also been training with the first team for some time now.

Anderson made his senior debut against Arsenal in the FA Cup last January before returning to the Emirates little more than a week later for his first Premier League outing.

Anderson has not played for Newcastle's first team since then but, tellingly, Eddie Howe has been keen to keep the attacking midfielder involved with the main group - just as predecessor Steve Bruce did.

Howe's assistant, Jason Tindall, has even gone as far as to say that the 'bright' Anderson has shown 'really good signs for the future' after the 19-year-old put his injury issues behind him.

Anderson was named on the bench for Newcastle's recent games against Man City and Manchester United and may yet get a chance to impress against Cambridge United in the FA Cup next week.

Club insiders have high hopes for Anderson, who will inevitably attract one or two loan enquiries next month, and Langley has named the Whitley Bay lad as the most talented player he has ever played with.

"He's ridiculous! In terms of how far someone can go, he has got everything," the goalkeeper told the club's match day programme.

"His ability on the ball, his first touch and being able to glide past players is a joke.

"When he doesn't have the ball, he takes up great positions and when you watch him play, he makes it look effortless."
