Newcastle goal hero Allan Saint-Maximin's touching message for young fan

Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin made the day of one young fan who wrote him a letter.

The 22-year-old, who scored United's stunning winner against Oxford United on Tuesday night, responded on twitter to a photo of young Joseph Warner's letter sent to him via his dad David.

Joseph who attends school in Birtley, had originally posted the letter to St James' Park.

The nine-year-old a huge Newcastle fan, wrote of his admiration for the winger's skills and hoped to one day emulate him.

David attached a shot of the letter in a tweet to Saint-Maximin also saying his son would be chuffed with a reply.

His response was typically brilliant.

The Frenchman replied: "Thank you! I'm waiting the day we play together. But for now tell him to have good grades and to celebrate them like I do!."

Saint-Maximin has had a major impact both on and off the pitch since his move to Newcastle last summer, with his twitter account often receiving rave reviews on social media.

It caps a great week for the skill-full winger, who got the match winner in a thrilling extra time FA Cup win over Oxford to send Newcastle to the fifth round.
