Newcastle fans send stark to Mike Ashley about his ownership

Newcastle United fans have sent Mike Ashley a stark message about their faith in his ownership.

It's been another summer of disappointment for Magpies fans, the drawn out arbitration case and a lack of activity in the transfer market has amalgamated once again into a lingering cloud of doom and gloom.

An early Callum Wilson goal gave Newcastle a brief reprieve only to collapse in the second-half as West Ham took all three points from St James' Park.

The performance against the Hammers was not a complete disaster with Steve Bruce's side leading at the break.

The Toon showed more attacking impetus in the first-half than they did for the majority of last season and if they can carry it on into the current campaign, they should be alright.

Nonetheless, the black and white faithful remain unhappy with their ownership.

In a poll conducted by SkyBet, around 96.9% of Newcastle fans were unhappy with Mike Ashley.

It comes as no surprise to anyone that the Magpies find themselves so low down in the polls.

Fan frustration over a lack of investment into just about all aspects of the club remain one of the driving forces behind the results.

In contrast, around 94.8% of Leicester fans were happy with their ownership, following on from the FA Cup triumph last season.
