Newcastle United fans have offered a mixed reaction after the Magpies unveiled their away and third kits for the upcoming 2020/21 season.
The club's away kit has reverted to a yellow strip for the first time since the 2013/14 season, with a "patterned 'fizzy yellow' shirt offset by a dark 'peacoat' blue stripe across the shoulders.
The club's new third kit is a nod to one of the city's most famous landmarks, with an eye-catching 'prism violet' design, featuring a bold pattern based on the steelwork of the famous Tyne Bridge. It is complete with a club crest and sponsor branding in a fizzy yellow tone.
The kits were 'leaked' on Friday and it has now been confirmed those leaks were legitimate and they will be the club's new change kits in the upcoming season.
However, they seem to have polarised opinion among the Newcastle United fan-base given the reaction on social media.
JJ Fletcher tweeted: "Missed an absolute trick here not giving it green shorts!"
Paul Medforth added: "I'm sure they're designed to put the opposition off."
Meanwhile, Chris joked: "Rather buy a hi-viz. [It would] be cheaper," while Wayne Black quipped: "I wouldn't even put Richard Masters in them."
However, Beth Mann tweeted: "Seems to be an unpopular opinion but I really like this!"
While Pete Hind added: "I must be in a minority as I like them both. Academic, though, as I won't be buying either while the money for them goes to Ashley."
