Newcastle fans celebrate Martin Dubravka's return but question Federico Fernandez decision

Newcastle United fans have expressed their delight at the return of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka to the side to face Arsenal.

However, Magpies supporters have again questioned the absence of Federico Fernandez from the matchday squad at the Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Howe will be in the dugout for the first time since becoming the new United head coach as he attempts to earn Newcastle's first victory of the season.

The former Bournemouth boss has made three changes to the side who earned a 3-3 draw against Brentford at St James' Park.

Dubravka replaces Karl Darlow following his error against the Bees, with Emil Krafth and Ryan Fraser coming in for Ciaran Clark and Jacob Murphy.

Newcastle fans are celebrating the return of the Slovakian international, who is making his first competitive appearances since undergoing surgery on a foot injury suffered at Euro 2020.

However, the omission of Fernandez for the second week in a row given the Magpies' struggles in defence has been questioned by supporters.

Here is how Newcastle United fans reacted to Howe's team selection at the Emirates:

'Doesn't make the squad'

'Happy enough'

'Is he alive?'

'Not in the new manager's plans'

'Siuuu'

'WOAHHHH'
