Gary Neville's frustration with Manchester United's Jadon Sancho transfer saga has reminded Newcastle United fans of their ongoing takeover ordeal.
The Red Devils are reportedly closing in on a blockbuster deal in the region of £80m to finally sign the former Manchester City prospect.
Manchester United failed in their public pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund winger last summer, but are said to be days away from sealing a deal for the England international.

While the transfer of the 21-year-old would undoubtedly be a huge coup for the club, Sky Sports pundit and former full-back Neville has criticised his former employers for taking their time to reach an agreement.
He posted: "A transfer should be a joy and a moment of excitement. I've never been more bored by a transfer in my life to the point I feel like he's already signed and I want to know who is next already.
"Not the lad's fault at all I should say!"
Manchester United fans echoed Neville's view in the comments, but the complaints over a lucrative move for one of Europe's brightest talents were criticised by supporters of other clubs.
For Newcastle fans, the frustration over the year-long delay for the Sancho transfer seemingly does not compare to ongoing takeover saga which shows no sign of concluding anytime soon.
Unpopular owner Mike Ashley finally struck a deal to sell the Magpies last year, only for the agreement to break down in the absence of a decision from the Premier League with their owners' and directors' test.
The consortium consisting of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, the billionaire Reuben brothers, and financier Amanda Staveley publicly withdrew from the bid last summer.
Yet all parties are understood to remain open to resurrecting the deal, with Ashley now engaged in a legal battle on two fronts with the Premier League in an attempt to force through the deal.
It has left Newcastle in limbo ahead of another season, and the latest saga is one of several in recent years which has failed to deliver the resolution most supporters crave.
It was this view - coupled with the limited budget the Magpies and many Premier League rivals are expected to be operating with this summer - which several supporters were quick to express in response to Neville's complaints over Manchester United's likely signing of Sancho.
