Newcastle fans all say the same thing after 'shocking' Puma kit reveal

Newcastle United fans have expressed their relief at the switch to Castore following the mass unveiling of former manufacturer Puma's third-kit range.

The Magpies ended their longstanding association with Puma this summer in favour of a 'multi-year partnership' with the British sportswear group.

Fans have so far had a mixed reaction to 2021/22 kit launches, with the home shirt praised for the return of the grandad collar but criticised on social media for the unfortunate 'four' above the Fun88 sponsor.

However, the away strip evoking the popular black-and-gold design from the 2017/18 season received widespread praise.

Regardless of how Newcastle supporters feel about Castore's offerings so far, it would seem fans are universally glad to no longer be partnered with Puma following their latest reveal.

The manufacturer unveiled a template third-kit design on Wednesday for a host of European heavyweights including AC Milan, Manchester City, Marseille, Valencia and more.

The shirts all feature the written name of the clubs below the Puma badge, with the club crests printed all over in the background.

It is a design that was panned by football fans on social media, including Magpies supporters who are seemingly relieved not to be wearing the shirt this season.

Here is what Newcastle United fans had to say in response to the launch of the new Puma kits:

'Nice timely manner'

'Delighted'

'Thank God'

'Right time'

'Shocking'

'Monstrous kits'

'Any other fans buzzing?'
