Callum Wilson has given an exclusive interview on Eddie Howe's start to life at Newcastle United.
Elsewhere, Gary Hoffman has resigned from his role as chairman of the Premier League due to a backlash over the Magpies takeover.
Here are your Newcastle United headlines for November 17.
Wilson exclusive
Callum Wilson did not need reminding about settling an old score this weekend against Brentford.
The Magpies were supposed to book their first League Cup semi-final place since 1976 when they clashed with the Bees 11 months ago but were beaten 1-0 on an awful night in the capital.
That night then head coach Steve Bruce found himself under increased pressure from supporters after blowing a big chance of reaching the latter stages of one of the domestic cups.
But with Eddie Howe now in place and Brentford arriving on Tyneside as a Premier League club, Wilson hopes things can be very different.
Wilson on Howe's tactics
Callum Wilson's goal ratio at Newcastle United is impressive enough to win admiration from some of the greatest number 9s to have pulled on a black and white shirt.
In 30 Premier League starts he has 16 goals to his name, a tally that would win respect from Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Andy Cole, Supermac and Wor Jackie - especially given Wilson's goals have still came amid a bleak tactical episode at United that has left him as the lone man in a team more focused on defending.
For the other icons who came before Wilson, they were afforded some silver service in great teams.
Yet Wilson, a true team player and big dressing room influencer, never complained.
With a new era about to get started under Eddie Howe, the good news for Wilson is the team are about to play to his strengths.
Hoffman resigns
Gary Hoffman has resigned from his role as Chairman of the Premier League.
The Premier League boss will step down from the role at the end of January 2022.

It follows on from backlash from Premier League clubs after the recent Newcastle takeover.
Agnew and Clemence's farewell
Newcastle United coaching duo Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence made an emotional farewell to staff and players last week at the club's Benton base.
Agnew and Clemence, as expected, left their roles shortly after Steve Bruce departed Newcastle by mutual consent with Eddie Howe bringing in his own back-room team.
However, after helping keep Newcastle up both men left with the respect of the dressing room after 13th and 12th placed finishes in their two full seasons alongside Bruce.
United goalkeeper coach Simon Smith stays on but the former Gateshead stopper had previously been part of the set-up under both Steve McClaren and Rafa Benitez, and previously during the Sir Bobby Robson era.
And former Academy director of coaching Ben Dawson will remain on the first-team coaching staff after being promoted last season during the Covid crisis at United.
Fans relegation verdict
Newcastle United fans are confident new head coach Eddie Howe can guide the Magpies to Premier League survival this season.
The Magpies have made an abysmal start to the campaign, and are still searching for their first victory this term.
United sit level on points with bottom club Norwich City, and are currently five points adrift of safety.
Howe himself has stressed the scale of the challenge the club faces in his first St James' Park press conference.
However, United fans are seemingly convinced the former Bournemouth boss will lead the team to a sixth straight top-flight season.
Clark's column
Eddie Howe is still getting his feet under the table at St James' Park but he's already made an impressive enough entrance.
He looks like a man who is delighted to be the manager and knows how big the history of the club is.

I was not surprised by how well he handled his Press conference last week but I was delighted to hear his kind words about the club and I think that is what most people in football think about the place.
They know that it hasn't been run it hasn't really been run as a football club in the last 14 years.
When that happens it doesn't give any head coach the opportunity to be successful but now with the new ownership, he's in a great position.
Woodgate on exit
Jonathan Woodgate has admitted it would have been 'difficult' for him to leave Newcastle United for any other club but Real Madrid.
The former centre-back completed a £13.4m move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2004 after little more than a year-and-a-half at Newcastle.
Although it was an opportunity Woodgate could not turn down, the England international fought back the tears as he asked Sir Bobby Robson to keep the number six shirt number free because he 'might be back at some stage'.
Sir Bobby was happy to do that but warned he 'might not be here' by then and, sure enough, the Newcastle boss was sacked just a few weeks later much to Woodgate's dismay.
Coloccini's tribute
Fabricio Coloccini has paid an emotional tribute to former Newcastle teammate Jonas Gutierrez after announcing his retirement.
The former Magpies skipper said Gutierrez was an "inspiration for every athlete" and had an "exemplary" career.
The Argentinian duo both signed for Newcastle in 2008 and would spend the best part of seven years playing alongside each other at St. James' Park.
