Newcastle evening headlines as images of Newcastle's Castore kits leak on the eve of the official unveiling

On the eve of the first official look at Newcastle's debut Castore kit, images have leaked on social media of a home shirt and a second as yet verified shirt. The new home shirt is set to become available online from Saturday, with the newly refurbished club shop run by Castore opening at the stadium too.

Elsewhere Amanda Staveley has reiterated that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Reuben Brothers are the 'only' co-investors the financier wants to help her buy Newcastle United.

While fan favourite Jacob Murphy makes a determined vow to fans ahead of the new season.

Your Newcastle United headlines for Friday, July 9.

New home shirt and unverified change shirt leaked

Ahead of the official unveiling of Newcastle United's new Castore home shirt, images have been leaked online.

The photograph appears to have been taken in a shop warehouse and the design of the home shirt matches that of a different image seen by ChronicleLive last month.

The second shirt remains a mystery. It could be either an away shirt, or third kit with supporters also speculating that it is one of the 2021/22 goalkeeper shirts.

Staveley on her 'perfect' Newcastle takeover team

Amanda Staveley has reiterated that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Reuben Brothers are the 'only' co-investors the financier wants to help her buy Newcastle United.

The PIF were set to take up an 80% stake in the Magpies last year after owner Mike Ashley had agreed to sell the club to Staveley's consortium.

As ChronicleLive previously revealed, in addition to the purchase price, the buyers intended to invest £250m over the next five years directly into the club and additional sums, which were never disclosed, above and beyond that into the community.

Hints dropped as to how Newcastle might be ran if takeover materialises

Amanda Staveley says that the real "owners" of the club are the supporters on Tyneside.

When asked what type of owners they would be Staveley added: "If we are privileged enough to own it we will be custodians. The owners will always be the fans. So it is important that they get to see what is going on in the next few months."

Jacob Murphy has made a passionate vow to Newcastle supporters

Jacob Murphy has vowed not to let the fans down following his new six-year deal at Newcastle United.

The wing-back impressed last season and earned himself a new bumper deal but knows the hard work is only just beginning.

"I love it here," he told NUFC TV. "I love being able to play for this club. It's been so good to show the supporters what I'm made of and to win round the fans like I did last season, it gives me so much strength and joy. I just want to keep making them proud."
