Newcastle crash: Boy, 8, injured after collision with van

A boy is in hospital after a collision with a van in Co Down.

Shortly after 7pm on Wednesday, July 21, Downpatrick police received a report that a child had been involved in a collision with a van in the Dundrum road area of Newcastle.

The boy was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police are appealing for information following the road traffic collision involving an 8-year-old boy yesterday evening.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam footage that could help with enquiries, is asked to get in touch with police on 101, quoting reference number 1838 of 21/07/21.
