Newcastle couples sought for salsa competition with a trip to Cuba up for grabs

Salsa is said to be one of the most passionate dances and if you reckon you and your other half or a friend have some red hot moves, you could be just what the organisers of a Newcastle-based contest are looking for.

City centre bar Harry's is about to launch its Salsa Nights competition, with a star prize of a trip for two to Cuba up for grabs.

We know there are plenty of you Geordies out there who know how to throw some shapes but do you think your fancy footwork could win you a trip of a lifetime?

And more importantly could you rely on your boyfriend, girlfriend or mate to help you out with their dance moves?

If the answer to that question is yes, you can sign up for the Salsa Nights contest at Harry's website, where you'll need to fill in an entry form.

There is no charge to enter.

Heats will take place consecutive Thursdays throughout October: October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, with two couples from each chosen for the grand final which will take place at Harry's on November 14.

The first prize is a seven night holiday to Cuba, staying at a 4* star hotel with breakfast included.

Each couple in the final will also receive a case of prosecco.
