A series of online fitness classes are set to make a splash in February, with new workouts being made available every day.
Newcastle City Baths, currently closed during lockdown, is revamping its Fusion at Home platform and will be hosting live online activities from next month.
The baths - which reopened a year ago following its own major restoration only to have its big programme of events scuppered by the pandemic - boasts, besides its swimming facilities, a state-of-the-art gym, fitness studios and sauna.
Fusion Lifestyle, the leisure charity behind the redevelopment of the Grade-II listed building - a much-loved Newcastle institution - is now keen to keep customers active during the closure.
It says that its new Fusion at Home platform will launch in February with "something for everyone, with brand new workouts and activities for the whole family".
And the range of what's on offer will include Pilates for All, which will focus on improving core strength, flexibility and mental focus, and - at the more energetic end of the spectrum - Freestyle Pump to "work up a sweat".
Other classes are set to include freestyle combat, mixed dance, zumba, yoga and family fun times.
Fusion Fitness Instructors will lead the live sessions and anyone who is unable to tune in on the day will be able to catch up afterwards, as all the classes will be saved to Fusion's YouTube channel to be watched anytime.
