Newcastle Castle's murder mystery night invites sleuths to take their own drinks

The atmospheric, and potentially eerie, setting of The Black Gate in Newcastle is to be the backdrop for a murder mystery night which will see the audience embroiled in the action.

Theatre company Suspect Productions, which specialises in three-act murder mysteries, will be staging its newest story Silenced! in the historic venue, part of Newcastle Castle, this April.

And those who are keen to go along and test out their detective skills to solve the mystery are also invited to take along their own food and drink to the 'murder mystery picnic'.
