Newcastle boosted by DeAndre Yedlin return after visa issues resolved

DeAndre Yedlin should be cleared to play against Everton after the club resolved his work permit issue.

The USA international's visa had expired resulting in him missing the game at Aston Villa and the home defeat to Leeds United last week.

Newcastle lost due to an error in the right-back area against the Yorkshire club when Jack Harrison was allowed time and space to score..

But - despite being subject of interest from clubs in Turkey - Yedlin is now set to be available again.

Yedlin has spoken about his contract dispute with the Magpies with six months left on his current deal and the Magpies not ruling out an extension at this stage.

Yedlin had stated he did not hear back from managing director Lee Charnley or anybody at boardroom level.

But visa clearance may suggest he has a chance of getting around the table to talk new terms.

Meanwhile, Fede Fernandez will not be fit for the clash at Everton but Ciaran Clark and Paul Dummett have trained at Benton.
