Swell from the south-east to south at 1m. Wind north-west to north tending east to north-east by the afternoon. Getting lighter earlier for the dawn patrol and tides going low mid morning. Okay banks off Newcastle Beach, South Bar and Pogos. Bar Reef and Cowrie on afternoon high. Burwood, Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Birubi up at Port Stephens.
