BEACH WATCH 

Light onshore winds with some cleaner conditions first up. Shallow morning low and shorebreaks suiting direction better as the tide fills. No increase and freshening afternoon seabreeze. Swell from the S/E to South at 1 to 1.5m.Wind S/W to S/E tending East. Gutters have broken up at a few breaks and for the early try Merewether, Dixon and Divider at Newcastle Beach. Bar Beach on the early afternoon high. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. One Mile and Buribi at Port Stephens. Slightly warmer current with sweeps in southern corners. Swim in flagged areas and water temp 19 degrees. - Dave Anderson

Winds East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending northeasterly 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon and evening.

Seas Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.

Swell Southerly around 1 metre.
