Light onshore winds after a change from the south that wasn't strong enough to generate much of a swell increase. Conditions today to be on the small side and choppy. Morning low to cause some close outs and afternoon high to fill the shorebreaks. Swell From the S/E to South at around 1m. Wind out of the South to S/E as well. Quite a few out early on the shorebreaks at Dixon and Pogos. Small break at Merewether and king rock at Newcastle Beach. Cowrie on afternoon high. Redhead, Caves and Fraser to the south. Box Beach and One Mile up at Port Stephens. Beach levels are low and gutters beginning to form in southern corners. Water temp 21 degrees. - Dave Anderson
