
BEACHWATCH
Onshore wind for today as a high pressure system hangs off the coast to the east. Not a great deal of quality with the direction a touch too straight and banks are tending to close out. Swell from the south-east to south at 1 to 1.2m. Wind north to north-east freshening during afternoon. Long gutters have formed and most beaches and only a few shorebreaks on the fuller tide.
First up try Newcastle Beach off the middle, Bar Beach and The Cliff. Cowrie on high tide. Burwood, Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Birubi up at Port Stephens. Water temperatures are up and slight sweeps to the south on run out tide.
