Swell is gradually dropping and will be on the small scale for the rest of the week. Lighter onshore winds and not much variation in the tides. Few new banks have formed which will suit mornings run out tide. Swell from the S/E at 1.5m decreasing to 1m.Wind light and variable S/E to East tending N/E late.First up try the rights off the alley at Newcastle Beach. South Bar and Merewether towards low. Dudley, Redhead and Birdie to the south. One Mile and Birubi up at Port Stephens. Waters murky in with fresh coming out of harbour after rain. Slight sweeps and water temp 19C. - Dave Anderson
