There is already some uniformity in the swell lines with a gradual increase over the next 48 hours. Offshore early before a southerly change comes through which will quickly deteriorate the conditions. Swell from the SSE 1.5m to 2m increasing 3m by afternoon. Wind North to N/W swinging South. Reefs that are facing south handling direction and size best. First up try Nobbys Reef and Merewether. Newcastle Beach off the alley may have some lefts. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. One Mile and Seals Rocks to the north. Sweeps to be running to the north and few beaches may close during the morning. Water temp 22 degrees.

Seas 1 to 1.5 metres, to 2 to 2.5 metres during the morning. Swell Southerly 1.5 to 2 metres, to 2.5 to 4 metres around midday. Weather Partly cloudy. Caution Powerful surf conditions in the afternoon and evening are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities.
