Swell is dropping and swinging back around to the east along with the wind. Surf conditions cleanest in the morning as seabreeze may kick in early. Tides in the morning are getting bigger and will fill some breaks. North facing beaches suiting the conditions best. First up try Newcastle Beach, South Bar and Pogos. Redhead, Frenchmans and North Catho down the coast. Birubi and Treachery to the north.

Winds North to northeasterly 15 to 25 knots shifting south to southwesterly in the afternoon. Winds up to 30 knots south of Norah Head in the evening. Seas 1.5 to 2.5 metres to 1 to 1.5 metres in the morning, up to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore north of Port Stephens in the afternoon. 1st Swell Southerly around 1 metre. 2nd Swell Northeasterly around 1 metre.
