BEACH WATCH 

Overnight change with onshore winds on the forecasts for today. Increase in swell from low deep in the Tasman and conditions to be choppy with some larger sets during the afternoons high tide. Swell swinging to the South at 2m to 3m. Wind moderate from the S/W to South. Best to try the south facing reefs early as the tide is going low mid morning. Merewether and Nobbys Reef the better options with Cliff and Flatrock on afternoon high tide. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. One Mile and Fingal up at Port Stephens. Swimming conditions to deteriorate with sweeps running to the north and heavy shore breaks. Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson

HUNTER BOATING 

Winds Southwesterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 30 knots offshore north of Norah Head early in the morning. Winds turning southerly in the evening.

Seas 1.5 to 2.5 metres, to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning.

Swell Southerly 2 to 3 metres, to 3 to 4 metres during the afternoon.

Weather Mostly sunny.
