Bigger incoming tide which should see the swell peak and suit a few of the reef breaks. Conditions to be clean with offshore winds ahead of a late south wind change. Swell from the South at 1.8m decreasing to 1m. Wind light North to W/W freshening South. Better waves are on the south facing breaks with first up South Newcastle, The Cliff and Merewether best options. Cowrie, Flatrock and Dixon on high tide. Burwood, Dudley and Caves to the south. Samurai and Birubi up at Port Stephens. Gutters have formed in close at Newcastle Beach and Merewether slowly sanding up. Water temp 16C.
