BEACH WATCH 

Offshore wind for the morning with some good waves to be had. Seeing the remnants of swell from former TC Gretal that are really suiting the northern corners and beach breaks. Swell from the East to S/E at 1 to 1.5m. Wind light North to N/W tending East by the afternoon. Tides full early so just starting to run out on sunrise. Newcastle Beach off the point and Alley for lefts. Banks at South Bar, Dixon and Pogos. Redhead, Frenchmans and Catho to the south. One Mile and Birubi up at Port Stephens. Sweeps running to the south and erosion at Merewether. Swim between the flags and water temp is 20C. - Dave Anderson
