BEACH WATCH

Continuation of clean glassy waves for the morning with the swell starting to get inconsistent at times indicating a drop. Local banks not the best as they have straightened up and mainly closing out on the sets. Swell from the SSE at 1.5 metres deceasing to 1 metres. Wind out of the N/W to West tending East late afternoon. Tides running out to a mid morning low suiting the south facing reefs off Nobbys, South Newcastle and Merewether. South Bar and Flatrock on the afternoon high. Burwood, Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Buribi and One Mile up at Port Stephens. Long shallow banks in close causing slight sweeps and swim at own risk. Water temp 19C. - Dave Anderson

Winds North to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots.

Seas 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the afternoon.

Swell Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres tending south to southeasterly 1.5 metres during the afternoon.
