BEACH WATCH 

Wind is expected to get around to the S/W early and there may be some clean waves before change arrives. Pulse of swell not expected to last and will drop during the morning. Swell from the S/E at 1.5m to 1m. Winds N/W shifting S/W and easing by the afternoon. Few banks have improved and tides still low for the dawn-patrol. Newcastle Beach off the Alley, South Bar and Merewether. Nobbys on afternoon run out tide. Dudley, Caves and Catho to the south. One Mile and Box Beach up at Port Stephens. Slight sweeps and swim in between the flags at patrolled beaches. Water temp 19C. - Dave Anderson

Winds Northwesterly 10 to 15 knots turning west to southwesterly before dawn then tending north to northwesterly in the evening.

Seas 1 to 1.5 metres.

Swell Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres.
