Freshening offshore winds ahead of a change due later on in the day. Conditions to start off small and full as tide fills.
Only a few banks locally suiting the small waves and increase more likely for Sunday. Swell south to south-east at 0.5 to 1m increasing to 1.5m. Winds north to north-west shifting south-west to south. First up try Bar Reef, South Bar and Cliff. Small break at Newcastle Beach and Dixon towards low tide. Dudley, Redhead and Fraser to the south. Birubi and Samurai up at Port Stephens.
Onshore winds for Sunday making for choppy and less quality surf.
