Get in early for some small clean waves while the tide is still low.Gusty southerly change is due and with it there will be a large increase in swell by Sunday. Swell from the S/E at 1m shifting South at 1 to2m.Wind North to N/W turning strong South. Banks are best along the Bar to Merewether stretch and try Cowrie and Bar Reef towards high. Burwood, Redhead and Catho to the south. Samurai and Birubi at Port Stephens. Protected southern corners like Seals Rocks for Sunday. Waters been good in for a swim with just the odd patch of kelp. Changing conditions for Sunday and only swim if beach open. Water temp 20C. - Dave Anderson
