Another quite day on the local beaches with few showers and onshore winds. Poor quality surf with conditions choppy and tending to close out on the afternoon run out tide. Swell from the S/E to East at around 1m. Wind moderate South to S/E. Best chance of a wave will be on the late morning big high tide with choppy peaky shorebreaks at Dixon and off the alley at Newcastle Beach. Southern corners of Caves and Catho to the south. One Mile up at Port Stephens. Beach levels are low so no erosion in front of stormwater pipes. Swim at patrolled beaches. Water temperature 21 degrees. - Dave Anderson
