Surf's looking good for today with cleaner waves during the morning's incoming tide. Small low in Tasman off to the south-east producing some bigger set waves before easing off during the afternoon.
Swell from the south-east at 1.5 to 2.5m. Wind light and variable north to north-west tending south to south-east.
Make the most of the early light this week. First up check Bar Beach, Cliff and Pogos. Merewether and Flatrock towards mid morning. Burwood, Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Birubi and One Mile up at Port Stephens.
Beaches back on patrol with slight sweeps running to the southern corners. Heavy shorebreaks during the morning. Water temp 17C. -Dave Anderson
