Low pressure system out to the east will see the swell swing and increase through out the morning. Clean offshore early and banks should line up better with the change in direction. Swell from the S/E to East at 1 to 1.5m. Wind light North to N/W shifting S/W to South. Tide filling to a late morning high. First up check Nobbys Reefs, Newcastle Beach off the Alley and Dixon. Merewether and Flatrock on the fuller tide. Redhead, Frenchmans and Catho to the south. Birubi and Fingal up at Port Stephens. Sweeps are forming in the southern corners on the run out tide. Only swim at patrolled beaches if red and yellow flags are up. Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson
